Sop 1B2 : Première vidéo / First video

Nous avons juste mis à disposition une courte vidéo (visible en HD) montrant le tout premier décollage du Sopwith 1B2 Strutter.
La vidéo a également été ajoutée à la page "Videos" du site de Memorial Flight.

Il s'agit d'une courte avant-première, puisqu'une vidéo plus longue sera disponible sous peu.

La page consacrée au Strutter (toujours dans la section "Workshop" de notre site web) a aussi été mise à jour en incluant des photos de l'avion en vol.

We have just posted a short teaser video (available in HD) showing the very first take off of the Sopwith 1B2 Strutter.
The video has also been added to the "Videos" section of Memorial Flight's website.

This is just a teaser, as a longer video will be available soon.

The Strutter webpage (still in the "Workshop" section) has also been updated with pictures of the aircraft in flight.

Notre Sopwith 1B2 Strutter original a enfin fait son premier vol !

Hier, le Strutter a fait 2 vols d'environ 25 minutes chacun et a enfin montré son très inhabituel camouflage dans les airs...

Our original Sopwith 1B2 Strutter finally made its first post-restoration flight !

Yesterday, the Strutter did 2 flights of approximately 25 minutes each, and proved to be as beautiful as it was on the ground. At last you can now clearly see the unusual camouflage...

LVG : Hélice / Propeller

 

L'hélice vient d'arriver à l'atelier. Nous avons donc pu poser les décalques, et peindre les extrémités, en respectant scrupuleusement les hélices originales de LVG qui ont été mises à notre disposition.

L'hélice mesure 3,05 mètres, et a été réalisée par Roger Poncelet, des Établissements Poncelet, dont le nom n'est plus à faire dans le milieu des héliciers européens...

The propeller has just arrived at the workshop. We then applied the decals, and painted the tips as the original LVG propellers we have.

The propeller is 3.05 meters long, and was made by Roger Poncelet, of the company "Établissements Poncelet", whose name is very well known among European propeller makers...

LVG : Radiateur / Radiator

Quelques photos pour vous montrer le radiateur fabriqué pour la reproduction volante du LVG C.VI. C'est une copie du modèle original.
Le radiateur sera plus tard peint avec une couleur aluminium comme l'était l'original.

Here are some photos showing the radiator, copied from the original one, made for the LVG C.VI flying reproduction.

Note that the radiator will be painted aluminium later, as the original one.

Be2f : Cockpit de nuit / Cockpit at night

A quoi ressemble un cockpit de Be2f la nuit ? Nous avons maintenant une réponse...

La première image montre le cockpit la nuit, avec l'ensemble des instruments éclairés. La seconde photo vous montre le cockpit à la lumière du jour, afin de voir l'avancement du travail.

Il faut remarquer que le cockpit est toujours en cours de réalisation, et le clinomètre ainsi que la lumière de la carte sont manquant.

What is it like to fly a Be2f at night ? We may have an answer...

The first picture shows you the cockpit at night with all the instrument ligths on. The other shot shows the cockpit in daylight, to see the progress made.

Note that the cockpit is still a work in progress, it lacks its inclinometer and map light.

LVG : Avancement / Work In Progress

 

Voici quelques photos montrant les progrès effectués, et les travaux en cours sur le LVG. Les mâts sont en train d'être ajustés sur les ailes, et seront bientôt peints. Le support de la mitrailleuse Parabellum (pour le mitrailleur) est également en cours de réalisation. Enfin, les ailerons ont été entoilés.

Here are some photos of the LVG showing the work being currently made.
The struts are being adjusted onto the wings, and they will soon be painted. The Parabellum mount (for the gunner) is also progressing along. Finally the ailerons are covered.
